Enhancing System Reliability and Transient Voltage Stability through Optimized Power Sources and Network Planning

Renewable energy is an important means of addressing climate change and achieving carbon peaking neutrality goals. However, the uncertainty randomness renewable also have a certain impact on flexibility, reliability, transient voltage stability power system. These effects pose great challenges to system planning. In order address planning, this paper proposes two-layer optimization model for sources network planning which takes into account both reliability requirements. The upper-layer grid problem formulated with consideration index, requirements construction operation costs are included in lower-layer determine scheme generation storage units. To solve complex nonlinear efficiently, iterative algorithm utilizing adaptive particle swarm (PSO) technique proposed. effectiveness proposed method demonstrated via its application IEEE 33 test results show that approach effectively addresses transmission while improving efficiency system’s operation. findings can guide design implementation future strategies.
